Hi,

Has anyone experienced a 'stuck mirror' on the Sammy DLP? We've only had the tv for 2 weeks and there is a bright white dot in the middle of the screen. I'm guessing I need to call the technician to come in...

This is very frustrating as we paid a ton of $$. I'm thinking maybe we should take it back.

You are a lot more likely to get a dead pixel, or two, or three, or four.., than a stuck mirror. Apparently Sony says that dead pixels are "normal" with strict criteria on what "defective" is. I think you have to have a certain number of dead pixels as a total, or within an specific area. However, I think the dead pixels are not that noticeable unless you get up close, unlike the bright white dot. THe debate of LCD vs DLP will go on.
