hey guys how would it be possible to tell if you have a clone? on the cw website it says if the last 4 digits of the box are numbers then its a clone. Well this is a c/p from their site...If your receiver serial number starts with CWP0611XXXX where XXXX is a four digit number, your receiver is not an authentic CaptiveWorks product and does not carry warranty.
Now the question is...my receiver says CWP060404741....is it a clone? It was purchased from globalwholesalers.biz the only difference in mine is that besides it saying 00 it says 11..is does that mean its original?
also u know other ways to tell if its a clone? ive googled it but havn't gotten anything in response to this
got this off other site Guys, you are hyperventilating ... lol .... relax , CW said serial number that starts with CWP0611XXXX where XXXX is a four digit number. Does your receiver start with CWP0611XXXX ? If so, then most likely it is a clone. If it DOES NOT start with CWP0611, chances are it is legit regardless of the four digit number following. My receiver from Pansat Direct is CWP0603 followed by 4 digit numbers. My receiver is legit, working fine, never had a problem. i have a captive works cw 600s premium.my problem is this.how do i get the programs to get started.in the manuel it doesn't really tell you anything.how should i get started
For people just getting a CaptiveWorks Premium receiver, it may be confusing what bins to load, and what proceedures to follow. My friend just got one, and I told him to read the forums here at Future. He complained to me it was hard to figure out what files to load and in what order. I checked myself, and I can see how someone could get confused. Hope this helps.

1. Get the current 1.06 loader here: http://www.future-fta.info/Forums/sh...ad.php?t=37252
2. Download the latest bin from here (top bin; highest bin number): http://www.future-fta.info/Forums/fo...play.php?f=207
3. Load the latest bin (from above) with the current loader (from above) as per these instructions:
Open 1.06 loader, select the latest bin in the "File" bar across the top. For Options, select Download S/W. For Select a port, choose your COM port (usually 1).
Prepare reciever: Turn off and attach the null-modem cable between the receiver and the computer serial port. Turn back on. With the CaptiveWorks Premium receiver on, press the front power button and hold it. While holding it, turn off rear toggle switch, then turn on again while STILL holding front power button. You will see "boot" on the front display. At this point, remove your finger from the front power button and press "start" on the 1.06 loader. Wait for the receiver to display "-end". At this point, turn reciever off at rear switch, and then turn on again.
4. Perform Factory Default: Using Remote, press: Menu, Installation, Factory Default, All, ok, yes, ok.

6. Load the NEW Long Channel Name Bin found here: http://www.future-fta.info/Forums/sh...ad.php?t=41590
7. Factory Default, and then setup the receiver:
Select language Select GMT time (-5.00 is Eastern), summer off in winter. Search channel
Set DiSEqC switch ports and scan. Upon completion, press F1 key (you will notice an "h" on the front panel display), and "000" to enable the patch. (repeat with "555" to enable cardshare). Allow time for keys to roll.
Setup up OSD options:
Menu System Settings System Channel NO. - SID Key Update Message - Off B**andD**hnet Full Name - ON
Menu System Settings OSD Display Icon - YES Auto Exit Channel List - YES EPG Style - NEW (recommended) Channel List - CH 10 (appears when you press OK button, lists 10 channels, or 24)
8. *Optional* Loading a custom picture/Jpeg You can load a jpeg picture (up to 64K in size) the same way you load a bin, in boot mode. Then you reset the receiver and activate the custome background like this:

New EPG style looks great but if you are using full channel name Old EPG style will work good for you because it got more room to show full channel names. Here is how you can change EPG style. ======================================= 2.How to Turn ON/OFF Display Icon feature? (Available in V1.13 Premium) ======================================= Premium model allows you to see Icon in EPG and also on right upper corner of the screen. To make this feature work you have to load the Icon.BIN file to your receiver. After you have loaded the Icon.BIN file must turn this feature ON/OFF to see Icons in EPG and on screen. Main Menu ->System settings-> OSD -> Display Icon -> Yes / NO
========================== 3.How to set 10/24 channels display? ========================== Main Menu -> System Setting -> OSD -> Scroll down to Channel List change that option to 10 or 24. (You only need to do this once in the beginning).
2) Then exit and hit F2 on your remote.
3) Category box will open, just choose what category you want to watch and hit ok
4) After 2-3 seconds, a list of channels will open which are CURRENTLY playing these categories (every half hour this list changes when a new show is finished or started)
5) Next to the channel there is the title of the show, if you hit INFO button it will open the full information, hit INFO again and it will disappear. Just select what you like and watch.
================ 11.How to Blind scan? ================ BLIND SCAN function can be accessed by going to Main Menu-> Installation -> Antenna Setting -> selecting the satellite that you want blind scan and press Yellow key on your remote.
========================= 12.How to Clone CW600s Box to Box? ========================= From DigitalPlus: 1) Connect the master and slave box with twist RS232 null modem cable (pin2 to pin3, pin3 to pin2, pin5 to pin5). 2) Start the master receiver and press "POWER" key to make it standby "- - : - -". 3) Start the slave receiver, in the master box the led will display 'H' and blink it. 4) Input the password: 111 ---- Transfer S/W 222 ---- Transfer data 333 ---- Transfer data, then S/W 444 ---- Copy whole flash except Boot Loader. 5) After finishing inputting the password. Transfer will begin. When it finish, the LED will Display "-End". Disconnect the cable, start your receiver. Note: By the different password, you can do what ever you want to do for Box to Box. ===================== 13.How to set DishPro LNBs? ==================== DishPro LNB settings can be accessed by going to Main Menu-> Installation-> Antenna Setting-> LNB type-> OCS-DP

If we don't know how to fix it, it is imposible to fix this kind of problem some times. It happens most of the time by changing the system info by mistake or by load a custom channels list. Here is a little "how to" guide to fix this kind of problem. You can use this guide for both Premium and regular CW600s model.
Reboot your system once; just to make sure you are out of all menus A: Press Menu B: 3 Times down Key C: Ok D: OK again E: 5 Times Down key F: Right/Left key untill it goes to NTSC __________________ and this event timer on the fly
bin 139 added feature-add timer in search show (GREEN_KEY) event timer on the fly. now you can add an event timer on the fly right in the epg. (or many event timers)
1.load the epg. 2.press epg>scroll to find an event playing ahead
of time>press green button>pop up box with options

or you can delete it the old way,menu>channel
manager>timer>event timer>select the event>delete. and of course,this is the old way of adding an event timer also.

leonce if you did factory default go in menu go to installation factory default then all you will see a blue windo open it will ask you if you want to save curent data hit no then go to yes with the remote vol right or left but put it to yes now you will see setup wizard go english and english again and go to GMT-5:00 then search channel a new windo will open satellete name hit ok you will see list of sats pick one you got your dish at and scan it i go to number 41 it is bev nimiq1 91w then i do blind scan this will take about five min or so after all that is done hiy exit on remote or you can do fast scan by hiting red buton on remote but for first time go the long way after you exit hit f1 on remote and 000 this will enable patch let roll this will work for you make sure you enable patch or you will not get picture let me no if it works for you thanks sorry it took so long to get back to you but the game was on last night have a nice day
what bin are you using the latest bin for cw600p is bin139 if it is cw600s the bin is 133 or you can go on the remote and hit page down you will see keys im on bev 91 my keys are 62365BD40C8C5487470982D5DB15D12E if you are trying to get dish net the keys are 00: B846822D29B625878CB1631524650D8A 01: B388CD6095962C11C0B115D078659A10 not sure which set are working for dish it might be 00 keys if not put in 01 but for bev it is 00 keys are the good ones have fun but new bin is rolling good on my box with the bin 139
my receiver is cw-600S premium.i used 1.13 bin.did i install the wrong one.if yes can i reinstall the new one..where can i find 133 bin.. do i change the case ID,IDENT,INDEX do i leave these alone

just go to menu installation antenna setting do scan auto red button first put your sat name at the top mine is like this 41.nimiq 1 (91)than hit the red button you will see the channels listing let me no if this works for you ps: if you did a factory reset you have to enable patch again f1 000 let me know how you make out
if all is good with the quality and strength you might want to do factory reset you will find it in menu on the remote hit menu installation you will see factory reset go to it hit ok on remote it will ask you if you want to save no hit ok you will see it say do you want to delete all with the volume button move it to yes it will delete all now you will see blue screen go to english and english again CMT-5:00 hit ok pick you sat you want to scan once you did this hit red button on the bottom of the remote when it is done scanning hit exit 3 times on remote and if you are using bin 139 the box will roll after you hit f1 000 on the remote and if this does not work you will have to check your dish it did snow in ottawa ont last night and got windy might have to tweek your dish to get better signal let me no if this works for you
be sure that the patch is inable if it is in disableyou will get no picture or sound on the remote you will see right above the red button f1 hit it you will see h on your box hit 000 a box will open telling you if it is inable or disable it must be in inable
you seem to be very knowledgable about the captive works 600 s premium. is all the info you have listed on this thread apply the same for the cw 600 s ?? i just got one off of ebay and should be recieving it soon, any and all help would be great im really interested in ppv type of programs had some questions about firm ware soft ware kind of stuff

The new CaptiveWorks 600s REGULAR reciever comes loaded from the factory with the Kround OSD. If you just got a new one, these are the instructions. new bin out on sunday morning it is bin 140 04082007 this bin is working good you can get it at future-fta*info change the * to a dot .if you cant get it going give me a call but if you put in new bin all will work good for you just put in bin leave it roll with in five mins you will have tv again
any time chick the last bin worked good for over a month 139 but on saturday night before the ufc came on bev rolled the keys sending out no good keys to the box but the 140 bin fixed all that have a nice day chick
