What did I do wrong

I have managed to connect the express view to the tv but have run into a problem with the DVD recorder. I can watch DVD's but I can't record. I think I missed some connection somewhere. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Thanks

If you do so you should see Bell Express program on TV Good luck
