The S-Video input no longer works on my Sony KV-24FV10 on Video 1. I have verified that it is not a source problem(tried Satellite box and Cable box) and have also ruled out the S-Video wire by trying another wire that i know works. The Composite Video Input and the sound Inputs for Video 1 still work, but only the S-Video input is dead....Anyone have any idea as to what the problem would be and is it really worthwile to fix such a problem? Any help would be much appreciated..Thanks in advance!
- Broken pin inside S-VHS fitting of TV set - Broken pin on PC board - Loose ground or part of circuit - Damaged pre-amp
What you may want to do: - I will still try another S-VHS cable - Try different video input - Try same input but use RGB component input - Use yellow single video in instead of S-VHS - If you got hands on electronics open it and repair it
I know you maybe concerend about quality but you may want to just get by instead of paying $200 for simple problem
