We have a Cineos 55PL9773/17 that shuts down randomly on it's own. The normal shutdown for this set includes a cooldown while the cooling fan runs. During this time the orange light on the front glows. When this shutdown occurs there is no front light. The set just shuts off. We can turn it right back on again and it goes through it's normal startup with orange then green light. Another thing that is crazy is that normally when the set is turned off by the user when we turn it back on it goes to the preselected channel. When this shutdown occurs and we turn it back on it returns to whatever channel we were watching at the time. Of course as everyone knows Philips is impossible to even discuss an issue with. We really like the set and besides the "dust spots" on a gray screen the picture and sound are perfect. Anyone experiance the same problem and knows the fix? Possibly a power supply issue?
