I need help with this small but confusing bug. I have Fortec STAR LIfetime Ultra and I wanna record WWE Wrestlemania 23 - I have DVD recorder and VCR, but I wanna record that show on VCR. Today, I wasted 2 hours, but no luck. WWE Wrestlemania 23 is after March 2, 2007, so please tell me how to connect my receiver, VCR, and TV. Pictures with labels will help.
With all your accumulated knowledge on satelites and receivers, you actually have problems on something as basic as hooking up a receiver to a VCR? I'm very upset with you AV! No worries. I'll give you the directions in a bit. Hold on. It's very simple actually.
AV: Use the AV output of your receiver to the AV input (Video 1 or Video 2) of the VCR. Output of VCR goes to TV. While watching the channel on your receiver, you can go into immediate recording mode. Alternatively you set the VCR to record input channel 0 and set it up for later recording. Before you turn off the VCR make sure that the receiver is set to the channel you want to record.
You have to set your TV to VCR 1 or VCR 2 input by selecting the appropriate channel. First get that part sorted out. Put a recorded tape in, keep your receiver off and play the tape to make sure you have the connection betwwen TV and VCR. Then leave that connection as is, stop the tape from playing any more and turn on your receiver and set the VCR input to receive from the receiver.
