I have a Mitsubishi VS-50705 which is about 6 years old. It was in storage due to a move, and worked fine for the satellite installers. It even worked fine after! We hadn't really used the TV at all as it was given to us as a gift by my wife's parents. They were average TV watchers.
Anyway, a few days after the installers came, the TV just "clicks" when we turn it on. The timer light is green for a half second and then goes off. In addition, while we try to turn it on, we don't see anything on the screen or hear anything other than a few "clicks" as if it's trying to start.
A friend said that he thought it was a bulb as "that was the problem" on his (different model) when it went.
I have no problem trying to fix it myself, and would love any suggestions. I've read the thread, and am learning a lot, but it's hard to decipher what is meant for my set vs. others.
