CAN SONE ONE HELP ME , I HAVE A LAPTAP , AND I WANT TO DOWNLOAD THE BIN IN COOLS$$ 5000, THE LOADER SAYS COM1 , WHAT COM PORT DO I NEED TO SAY ON THE USB.
First off please stop YELLING at us....We have had several threads here on this topic let me see if I can find them for ya. I do know its tricky to get the USB to serial adapter to work properly for FTA update use. You should have received some instructions with the adapter with help...if not do a google on it.....I will try to find the threads....
turn off the receiver. hook up the cables. turn on the receiver ( as soon as you see the green light (s) press download if it doesn't work for that port try it on another the same way.
oooh...didn't know U can change your nick and username and still maintain your post count and original registration date...this site is weird, unlike any others..
dave try using a desktop pc from your friend or something just to see if the cable reads receiver. or you probably need to install a driver for your labtop.
arvind update to the newest clonesafe bin (if that doesn't work) do a soft reset of the receiver (and if that also doesn't work) load the factory bin then upgrade to the newest bin
