As the title says it, i was having this problem with the 288t bin and thought the new one would fix it, but the only thing it fixes is the slow channel change and freezing problems. btw, im talking about bev here, and don't know about dish yet.
I have 289T bin, and it doesn't fix the scrambled/bad channel problem just like the previous bin. i think it might be working fine for those with DN, but im talking about BEV here and the problem is still there.

Moded for Hughes / Tivo ir codes. Good for ALL ! Enjoy !
Good for all" means, all of the Pansat 2500a and Fortec Ultra and clones. Use BL uploader.
1. Default, kill all settings, including channel lists. 2. Flash current bin/file 3. Set up antenna settings, switch/ports 4. Scan All per sat. DO NOT BLINDSCAN. 5. Turn OFF AutoTp, 6. Turn ON< AutoRoll 7. Set time, clock and date, correctly for the EPG to work 8. Select E, Package, select channel, WAIT for video, do not change channels 9. For N, sort by alphabet, select channel, wait for video.
Mc Sunny, i have the autoroll on, i have channels like ary, b4u, ndtv, cbn working with no problem, but getting only scrambled/bad channel issue with other channels like tsn and ppvs.
after reading ur post, i decided to wait for a while on one of those channels to see if i'd get a picture, but to no avail. after a little while, "wait for picture" came up and it went up to 600% and then back to scrambled/bad channel.
289t works fine........what kind of weather do U have? transmission is dependent on the cloud/rain/snow situation, also consider the signal is beamed up first, THEN down. Any weather can affect certain channles...
