Hello.

I recently purchased a Sony grand wega 3lcd. Nice tv, with lots of inputs.

Here is my problem:

First of all the equipment.

A: DVD player with only one composite RCA audio out and two video outs.

B: Jvc VCR (the more expensive kind) with audio/video in and out + RF

C: Stereo with the usual vcr audio/video in and out & vcr monitor, tape, cd, aux, e.t.c.

D: SAtalite tv with rf, RCA and DVI output. No input RCA though.

Now the tv has a nice input selection.

I can run splitters from both audio and video out from both the vcr and the dvd player to the tv.

The problem is that i would need to have two video OK!) and two audio cables (not good) to be able to use the stereo speaker system. Without having to serial run the dvd through the vcr, or the combo of the vcr in aux mode + the stereo with VCR monitor one to complete the loop.

From dvd audio out to: TV (video in 3)
Stereo (aux/vcr in)

From VCR audio out to: TV (video in 2)
Stereo (aux/vcr in)

For the moment let's ignore all RF coax it's not a problem.

I detest the idea using wire RCA splitters and combiners.

So Here's how the tv input is setup.

RF CH3 (all)
Video 1: Satalaite tv (RCA).
Video 2: VCR (RCA).
Video 3: DVD Player (RCA)
--------

To be able to use the VCR (A&V) on the tv i can't have the vcr-stereo conneciton without a splitter.

It is possible to have the Sat, vcr, dvd though the stereo, however i have to give up one of the connections (switch rca plugs/cable). Most notably the vcr.

Would there be a device i can purchase or even build that unlike a A/B switch box can inter-patch the audio components without the need of mass amount of splitters?

Thanks

You can use a video selector. They sell them at WalMart and Radio Shack. I just bought one on ebay. If the sat has DVI, you should be using that.
