Setup: dish 121 -> 4:1 a switch -> splitter 4:1 -> c00lsat 4000pro receivers.

Cable runs too long; without the 4:1 splitter, signal is semi-OK. If split to multi-rooms, the signal is too weak.

Question: Is there an amplifier that can boost the signal AND would work with the 4:1 SWITCH?

I tried the Monster's in-line Amplifier 950-2050MHz, 15dB gain, 15V DC 50mA. It does not work. All signal gone if I insert the amplifier anywhere after the switch (regardless with or without the splitter). Look like the amplifier prevents the receiver to control the switch.

Q - You need to post a little more info then that. First if I read your post correctly you have a 4x1 switch and a 4x1 splitter as well? What setup do you have that you need both of these? What type of LNB's are you running? How long is the cable run?

Need more information in order to help!

Q
I have to give you a service ticket #070125-2

- You can't split high frequency
- The only reason you'll connect Signal Pre-amp if you are using over 100 feet cable
- Best thing to do is list all parts along with what you are trying to do. Size dish, LNBs, receiver, length of cable
- Biggest advice I can give you is to use Quad shield cable(RG-6) with good crimps

PRF don't worry we'll split 50/50 for this we'll need a splitter

PRFRMNJ and King Tapeman, thank you for helping.

The dish is SuperDish. I think there is a DishPro LNB and a linear LNB.

As stated earlier, 3 LNBs -> 4x1 switch -> ~ 60ft of coax (not sure if RG-6 or not) to the attic -> splited using a 4x1 spliter to two rooms -> another ~30ft of coax -> each room with a C00lsat 4000 pro. The signal is ~52-55% by now.

If I take out the spliter and connect 60ft coax directly to the 30ft, I got signal ~60%. I got most channels without any problem with this configuration (no splitter).

I'd like to amplify the signal before splitting it.

Thanks again for your time and help

Weird, i'm running over 100ft of decent Sat Coax cable and my signals are higher than that with no power increaser. powers sitting at 81%-88%

With your super dish U can easly get 110/119/121

Requirements
***No splitter I repeat no splitters***
- All RG-6 Cables (it will say on cable) up to 100' or slightly over
- One 4 input DISEqC switch (find "King's Corner" thread)
- Load latest bin (www-dsstester-com)
- Need 1-coax coupler as a tool for each SAT
- MAKE SURE RECEIVER OFF AT ALL TIMES WHEN plug/unplug coax
- Follow my 123 steps

You need to work on getting a 65% signal or better:
Basic Tips
1- Make sure dish is "steady" not Moving
2- Pointing dish to correct SAT www-satellitenut-com
3- Use Correct LNB (Circular for 61.5, 82,91,110,119 or Linear for 121, 97)
4- Try each SAT one at a time
5- Always try without DISEqC switch first WITH RECEIVER OFF
6- Use quad shield cables RG-6 with good crimps
7- Antenna set-up (usually 2 items LNB types and port assigning)
8- Use Latest Bin with current keys/key auto roll
