blind scan get rid of duble channels and taks longer to do like10min and auto i use on sunday 5min before the game or race to get the new spot beam witch cares the game or race and sunday night i do blind scan to get channels in order this works for me hop it helps
Sat Scan = Scanning Predetermined Transponders. It scans all transponders in your list for that satelite.
Blind Scan = Scanning the Sat for available Transponders. If you have not reset factory settings you only need to do this once. This will scan the sat and update any transponders in your list if they were not included but are found to have signal. The process is a lot longer then your regular Sat Scan because it's actually performing two scans. One for TP's and the other for Channels.
Jim - If you are going to do that (it will clean up all channels) but befoer you do your blind scan again, do the following:
The easiest way to do a successful blind scan and avoid repeats is to turn off the lnb power to the sat you are not scanning and then scan the other one. Example:
Scanning 110 Turn off LNB Power to 119
Scanning 119 Turn off LNB Power to 110
Depending on the receiver you may have the option to turn the LNB Power off, but it will give you the option to deselect sats. So follow the above only deselecting the sat you are not scanning.
on cw 600p you have no channels left after you do factory default empty sats is what i get after i do factory default then i pick nimq1 i do blind scan get all channels only once this works for me i did it this way for 6 months all is good for me have fun all
- Your receiver comes with preset Transponders - When you do Chan scan receiver load chan straight from TP - When you perform blind scan receiver looks for any TP that was never included and take away what is no longer in SAT and store them in preset as an update.
This is like PRF described as well. It also depends on receiver's capabilities
If you do a factory reset be careful and make notes on your configuration before doing it, in that way you will be able to get your receiver back to work again...
i have pantec2fa i need some ppv stuff i scaned echostar no 8 and tp no 15 but it only gives you one channel I dont know why when i scan whole stalite it gives you indian stuff and some us channels i dont know i want ppv stuff plz help and what should i put in the anteena settings should i do factory seetings then do blind scan with echo 8 plz i need lots of help i am new to this
If you are doing a factory reset because you want to get rid of satellite scanned before, I find it more helpful to go into channel edit, sort by satellite or TP, and then I go into delete and lelete a whole satellite, or selcted TPs or channels. That way I do not disturball the settings I have done painfully in the past.
