I mean when I have the room dark its really distracting to have the wall glowing behind me. Any hints or tricks? Should it glow that brightly?

how big is the light spot??? My 50" DLP which sits about 12" away from the wall, produces a light spot about 10" in diameter. Can't see it uless you're behind the set.
