I recept my receiver to factory settings and now I do not have Ecko 3, Ecko 6,8 and Ecko 7 (not sure if I'm spelling Ecko correctly). Can anyone help me on how to get those satellites back?
how would u do it for pansat2700A ??? mines gets stuck at a % when I do a blind scan. only sat T-6 goes all the way to 100% All the echos get stuck why ??? (let the flamming begin)
King .... I am not saying you are wrong BUT... In ontario ECHO 110 ( 8/10 ) aka 6/8 is diseqc #1 TP setting are 12224 ECHO 119 ( 7 ) is diseqc #4 TP settings 12239 I am not sure about any other setting for any other sats. It depends on where on the globe you live what the right settings are for your area.
Doreen - Standar setup for FTA and DN has always been 119 - 1 and 110 - 2. This is because when someone uses a DishPro LNB the internal switch is setup in that fashion. It doesn't matter where you are at. We try to keep it the same so we can help everyone. However, people setup their units any way they want. It just makes it more difficult to help them. As far as TP setting, this is automatically done by the sat info when you do a blind scan. Not a setting that is done manually.

Alfons You sound like you have a bad BIN PGM I'm not the best one to ask where you can get a new one Maybe PRF or LK But DSSCommunity-com can be a start
I put bins and Info on at DSS community alot ( DJ )is me . If you need something just ask and i will try to find it and upload it for you in dss community
oh and just so you know ... i can only get a good signal for echo 8/10 with diseqc set at #1 and echo 7 diseqc set at $4 all other settings wont work. I guess its different for others but that works for me
Doreen - You may have a bad switch. It shouldn't really matter where you connect them to the switch just so long as they are configured properly in the antena setup...
Alfons - Go to the thread "List of Reputable DSS Sites" and pick anyone of them. Most of them you'll have to register, but it's free. Then you can download the bin from there. Make sure you only flash the correct bin into your STB. If you have a clone then only load a clone safe bin. Otherwise you'll damage your stb.
i only bought directv lnb from radioshack and was wondering if it works for both bev and dish channels
as for the dish itself i bought and it came with a international lnb (it's big i think about 30in)
right now i have a pansat 2700A pointing toward 110 or 119 i don't know which. I scan all echos and all 3 at blindscan stop at a percentage. the only sat that goes all the way 100% t-6. and they are all bev. and also King Tape can you add or remove satellites from the list because for 110 I only get Echo 8.6 no 9 or 10. I am running on bin 290 and latest Jan 4, 2007 receiver update. (i have done alot of reading so please don't think I'm lazy or anything) it seems alot but any info would help.
alfons...yes that/any DTV LNB will receive either DN or Bev!
U must have a LNB for each satellite to receive its signal...that LNB must be perfectly aimed at the satellite...U must then tell your receiver which LNB(type/frequency) is aimed at which satellite and how U connected it to the disque switch, by inputting correlating antenna/dish settings..then dom a blind scan , then input latest bin, let keys roll, reboot receiver with rear switch, watch TV..
BTW...U don't aim a receiver (pansat 2700a), U aim the LNB's on the dish..
U really haven't read nearly enough ...and your dish is NOT aligned correctly!...and probably U have NOT entered antenna/dish settings either!
