new to hdtv. purchased samsung 46" dlp tv at christmas & everything (except dvd) appears grainy. have a 1x4 cable splitter in the attic. think i need to get rid of the cable splitter & get an amplifier (removed the splitter & the picture was still grainy). plan would be to split the incoming signal once (1x2). would install the amplifier on one leg & connect cable modem to the other. off the amplifier, i need to feed my hdtv with digital cable (comcast hdtv / dual tuner dvr box at hdtv) & two additional crt tvs (basic cable only, no cable boxes at crt tvs). question is, what is the best amplifier for me to purchase (reputable brand & number of outputs)? my thought was to get an amplifier with 2 outputs, and send one output to the hdtv & split the other output between the two crt televisions? any help would be greatly appreciated! it is frustrating to purchase an hdtv & see a degradation in picture quality from the 27" tv i used to watch.
