I have a LG RH1999H HDD/DVD recorder. It's set to region 4 and I want to unlock it to play DVDs from the US. I've tried the 314159 and the ooooo methods but can't get them to work. The lock in "set up" has a region code section but it wants a 4 number password and then it's A/B. No idea what this means. Could anyone help me please?
Just been browsing. I tried going onto the lock and pressing 0 seven times without going into the sub menu. It worked! I'm now region free. Who designs these machines?

I don't know but it must be a conspiracy. I pressed a few button on my dvd player and it was able to do stuff it wouldn't do before (specifically dts output).
