I just got this hd tv and tried with Dicovery HD 1080i and the picture quality was incredible, but my Pansat only outputs 480/60i by Component and do not get HD channels. |

People think this like a regular VHF or UHF antenna. Let me tell everyone out the quality is better than DTV, DN, BEV and Cable Just make sure your TV has an HD Tunner and you are within 50 Miles from local broadcast You'll get ch 2-69 |

New member Username: PoserPost Number: 10 Registered: Dec-06 | LK I don't know what your problem is, you wanna keep people from knowing their options while there's tons of good info out there for everyone to master this whole fta thing, you wanna keep everyone here on this site where you DON"T know if providers have access to the server and members info or not!!!So many people don't know anything about this but I know many many who got busted by asking and answering questions about satellite piracy, People are in danger here, this site is not even a satellite testing site, the server is accessible by the providers and can be raided at any time, If you are not working for them then I don't see why you wanna call people like spammers who have nothing to gain here other than informing people of a grave danger awaiting them. All I'm doing is giving information and sharing the knowledge, let the people decide, if you don't wanna check the links then DON'T, let those who can see the facts and dangers of this community decide. I see a lot of newbies on this site who I'm sure have no idea what a real Satellite Testing Forum is. I want to show them one that I personally find the best since they helped for hours to setup my fta boxes for free, just a few friends who have been doing this for many years as staff members on other boards have come together and started a new site to dedicate their time to absolute newbies, I feel privilaged to know this site and would see it as my responsibility towards the people and that site to try to bring them together. Stop with ur bulshit comments, if you have a site of ur own that wanna share with others go right ahead, I don't have one and never will since I'm not very computer savvy but I will share the knowledge with others because I believe knowledge is free and for all. Guys I'm a member of this site, check it out, see if you like what they are offering, your choice, I did and now it's my home, your call. |

December 27, 2006 (IDG News Service) -- A pair of powerful earthquakes off the coast of Taiwan damaged undersea cables and disrupted telephone and Internet access in Asia on Wednesday. "All of the ISPs in Singapore are affected," said Michael Sim, a spokesman for StarHub Internet Pte. Ltd., which provides cable and wireless Internet services. Sim blamed the connectivity disruption on damage to undersea cables caused by the earthquakes. Internet access in the city slowed to a crawl, and some Web sites were unreachable. "Everybody's doing their best to migrate [traffic] to alternate routes or to fix the affected routes," Sim said. NTT Communications Corp. said that 84 leased lines were out of service as a result of the problems and that international toll-free calling was being disrupted. Conventional international calling was in operation, albeit with limited capacity, said Akiko Suzaki, a spokeswoman for the carrier in Tokyo. A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck off the southwest coast of Taiwan, near the town of Pingtung, at 8:26 p.m. local time on Tuesday, according to Taiwan's Central Weather Bureau (CWB). The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said it was stronger -- at 7.1 -- and Japan's Meteorological Agency estimated it at magnitude 6.9. That quake was followed by another eight minutes later with a magnitude of 6.4, which the USGS estimated at 7.0 and the Japanese Meteorological Agency estimated at magnitude 7.2. Southern Taiwan was also hit by several powerful aftershocks measuring between magnitude 5.9 and 5.2, the CWB said. The quakes, among the most powerful to hit Taiwan in recent years, left at least two people dead, according to press reports. That first quake knocked out parts of the SeaMeWe 3 (South East Asia Middle East Western Europe 3) and APCN2 (Asia Pacific Cable Network 2) undersea cables. Both are major telecommunications arteries in East Asia, and their temporary loss led to the problems being observed on Wednesday. Traffic that traversed the cables has been switched onto alternate routes, but those other cables are now congested. As a result, Taiwan's telecommunications infrastructure was hit hard, with just 40% of international calling capacity to the U.S. functioning normally, Chunghwa Telecom Co., the country's largest operator, said in a statement. Calling capacity to Japan and China was also affected, with 11% and 10% of capacity operational, respectively, the company said. Damage to the cables also disrupted Internet access in China, Hong Kong and Singapore, Chunghwa said, noting that it will take up to three weeks to repair the affected cable systems. In Beijing, a China Network Communications Group Corp. (China Netcom) representative, who gave only his surname as Chen, said some international connections had been affected. That disruption left some international Web sites accessible in Beijing, while others could not be reached. Chen did not know when full service might be restored. The region where the earthquake occurred is near the boundary of the Eurasian plate and the Philippine plate. The region is one of the most seismically active regions of the globe.
