Forget about the directions I gave to Mindy, because the Viewsat key configuration is a little bit different. |

Key 00: 5D 95 EB F6 06 08 43 B2 25 33 DA 77 DC 51 EF E4 Key 01: 93 C2 59 35 EE 4E 0B 81 1B EB CA F7 0E 78 E4 06 but before adding the Numbers you have to turn Keycode ON Dishenet Autoroll OFF BEV Autoroll OFF GlobeCast Autoroll OFF and then add the keys number and it will works tested and great. I hope this information help someone, have fun guys. |

Unfortunately I do not know what that step could be. After I entered the new keys I saved them did a blind scan and saved that. Still no TV !!! Was I supposed to reboot or delete chan nels or do a chicken dance? Can some one assist please? Thx Mitch |

Silver Member Username: Dude123Post Number: 674 Registered: Jul-06 | If you guys's receivers were working good before the key change and you haven't changed any settings since then, you should be able to get the channels back with the new keys. If you have turned off your autoroll and entered the new keys manually, that should work too. Have you guys tried to turn off your receiver from the back switch and turned it back ON after a minute?? that helps try that out. If that doesn't work then do a blind scan |

You need to read up on the latest BIN, and download instructions for the BIN, also on the uploader to use, and the cable. You will download to your computer, the Uploader software, the BIN and the instructions. The software you have downloaded will be in a zipped file and you will have to unzip and extract the uploader file, which is a .exe file and the BIN file which usually a .bin file. If you do not have Winzip.exe for unzipping, you can get it free from http://www.winzip.com Make sure you know which folder you have the uploader and the BIN file. You will now follow the instructions to the letter. There are no short cuts and no excuse for not reading the instructions properly. Do not forgtet the instructions posted there and here about how to set up the clock, etc and scan the satellites, and install the keys. You may find it convenient to have some hobbyist type with you when you do all this. Two heads are better than one if you have not done this kind of computer work before. |

In that case after trying switch on and off, 1. Do "set default key" 2. Turn autoroll off 3. Enter Nagravision 2 keys for DN - id 0101, Key 00 4. repeat for key 01. 5. If you are scanning BEV, repeat the key entry for BEV - id 09 01. Exit, exit,exit, switch off , switch on. If necessary, do a blind scan. Best of luck, and happy viewing. |

This is when DN deliberately tweaks one of the numbers in the keys - usully in the inactive key. This has not been reported with the last lot of keys. Apart from reckecking the keys and repeating the above procedure, I have no further suggestions. I can confirm that the keys are the same for all receivers and that they are working for a majority of people. |
