How to make ur Remote work better....basically drill a hole in the tinted plastic for better reception with the remote...... Here are the steps:
1/ Make sure there is no power to the STB ( Fortec)
2/ Remove screws form the back of the STB and one on each side of the STB
3/ Then remove the tinted plastic from the front of the STB.. there are tabs to push to remove this.
4/ Then with the plastic lens removed place it in front on the remote eye on the STB to figure out where u are going to drill the hole... it looks like a LED.
5/ Once marked you will want to use a small drill bit first.... Drill through the front first....
6/ Then flip it over and drill from the backside... make the hole as big and eye. Drilling from the back will give you a cleaner job.......
7/ Hopefully u drill the hole in the right place!!!!!!! Put the STB back together and your good to go!!}
