I know dtv/lnb's will work on dn. Will dn/dishpro lnb's work on dtv?

To answer your question let me start with:
-dtv LNB is not 1:1 with DN for 1 good reason
110 is only 3 transponders and they block any other transponders that is the middle LNB
they are a little slick with that. The 2 outside LNBs yes they both Circuilar

-as far as DN to DTV technically yes but how are you ging to get the PGM? there is no available PGM at least not yet

-Also I heared rummors that it is in the process. I say not but I will have an interesting post to show everyone that it is easier than what you think!!!
Not only it is easy it is much easier than Nagra
Right now NO COMMENT don't even ask me just wait to December 2006

Interesting,King tape, Thanx. But I just hooked up a 18" dish with dn/dpdual lnb to my rca at 101w and 90% sig and full epg ect, no card in either. Was testing before ur reply , It worked, but can't figure out something fss/circular and dvb/circular aren't supposed to be compatable some how?

LK is right I have no idea what LNB you have I assumed it was 3LNB
SatScanner. Anyone can get signal but did you get any channels?
Is your RCA MPEG-2?
-If you are pointing to 101 it don't mean you are getting 101
-Even with good signal 101 won't load MPEG-2 with fss or dvb

It' an old dtv/rca drd440 ,something like that with 18" dn/dpdual lnb @ 101w and showing 90% signal loads program no card in.I tested the dish because I read somewere this ird uses 22kz tone no diseqe and shouldnt work but seems to.I use this dish/setup on my fta, also with dtv/paratodos lnb which we all now wotk fine, but tried dn dish on dtv ird and seems to work.I guess u can't believe everthing u read. Testing is believing. But still thanx all.

The LNBs are usually interchangeable with DN and DTV, depending upon exactly which LNB's U mean..they both are circular and I have used DN LNBs on DTV dish in past...I think U need to post what your point and goal actually is..why do u ask?...be specific..

If U just want to sub to DTV and need an LNB and ONLY the 101 sat, just use any single or dual DN legacy LNB..they work fine..in fact thats what I do ...but in some areas U need the 110 and/or 119 to get locals also..in my particular area, all is on the 101 with a simple round dish..and also I have a DN dish too, but have used both DTV dish and LNB's for subs to DN and DTV in the past..

Gotcha..but were does the 22kz tone on the ird switch polarization work on dp/lnd compared to diseq? I mean how does the dp/lnd switch polaraities without diseq commands just voltage?I may be asking two much but legacy/lnb are 22kz or linear? whats the diff, I know diff between linear and circular polarization, cant figure out legacy tho" Thanx....If u dont ask u wont know.

LK is right I don't make too much sense from your questions
-DISEqC switch is almost like a relay or Mech switch, it makes the switching using high frequency.
-22k is also a switch (relatively Low freq and unaudioable) all you have to do is match the correct type (usually listed on LNB or look it up)
I had this posted on a pervious post

3 things you have to keep in mind
-S=(Signal) this is the strength you need to be Nominal at 70% or better to start getting TP
-Q=(Quality) this is the Data or(channels) you need to be Nominal at 60%
- If you got both S & Q at good level they don't mean you got channels.

If channels are encrypted may come in black or not at all

So what you need to Match LNB and dish to get signal but receiver has to match encoded broadcat and encypted DVB

I WELCOME ANY HOBIEST TO ASK OR SHARE ANY QUESTION I DON'T MAKE FUN OR IGNORE ANY QUESTION
