I'm on the East cost, NYC area

Did anyone try any of the following Satllelites:
Please do not give me your openion if you havn't tried them
ALL OF THESE ARE REACHABLE ON THE EAST COST N. America

30.0°W Hispasat 1C
27.5°W Intelsat 907
15.0°W Atlantic Bird 1
8.0°W Atlantic Bird 2
7.0°W Nilesat 101
1.0°W Intelsat 10-02

But there is a way to get them
I was able to get 15.0°W Atlantic Bird 1
Any research anyone?

Hey King
I live in Maryland near Ocean City.
With my 30" Motorized Dish the best I can do is hit 30.o & 27.5W @15 it reads OUT of RANGE.How do you know that they are reachable?

I have the dish raised 30 feet of the ground to avoid any ground interference.
3 LNBs, 2 linear and one circular quad shield cables, I have not many houses in front, Lots of patience
I got so many channels but I lost them when I rest the receiver. Also I played with the elevation.

They are all reachable according to the foot print except for 7.0°W Nilesat 101

Elevation is the very critical. I have 38" Oval dish.

North Latt'd 39°
West Latt'd 72°

Very nice
The dots with red numbers?
To hit a lot of birds in our foot print you need a large Dish, but you also need to clear the elevation to the satellite.
Like I said the best I can do is 27.5W Intelsat 907. Too many buildings & trees.
BTW Hispasat1C @30.oW has alot of channels.

- White Circles reperesent boundries mostly elevations. i.e. someone in Calfornia will not reach because the elevation is in the negative so the dish has to face the ground.
- Hispasat 1C at 30.0°W small red circles represent signal strength in (db)
- Telestar 12 at 15.0°W Shaded area with blue, for Ku-band reperesent reachable area but they didn't put values

- YES you can only get with large dish
- I have 2-Linear LNB NF: 0.3 db 2-Linear LNB + a third one Circular but I dindn't get lower SATs but I never give up.
You can get from www-wsidigital-com or www-centronics-com I think they are in Maryland
But they were no help I had to do things on my own

Just wait until all leavs fall. trees can block signal but they won't trap it
-Are you trying to add a SAT that is not on the list? (let me know )

You won't get any transponders here
But the truth I didn't try this one
You need a 30" with linear LNB
But I don't think you'll get any beef because of DVB encryption
And as far as I know Hughes is like DTV no fix yet.

Also your receiver may have stored transponders as a preset. I do have it on my viewsat
Good Luck
