Extremeview Magnum is a great receiver fast powerful does have a few bugs and erorrs here and there but quickly improving.

Extremeview VS Sonicview VS Viewsat Ultra VS Conaxsat

sonicview has great picture due to nim shapre video tuner, good 200mhz cpu nec great support (viewsat)

Viewsat ultra only real plus is USB the video tuner is not the best.

Extremeview STI 200mhz 32mb ram is more of a mix of viewsat and cool$at taking the easy features/settings but also allowing for advanced features like viewsat.

Conaxsat is a new fta receiver coming out shortly that comes form one of the same owners, and allows for USB PVR!!! testing testing this bad boy is nice

dont buy viewsat extreme if you buy any buy lite or ultra or buy extremeview.

i do have them all and each has there own great features i would go with the sonicview sv1000 or extremeview due to there really really well made like the pansat 2500 and both have better video tuner then viewsat. if you want a cheap costing buy viewsat lite if you want usb buy viewsat ultra.

haha nothing was copy and pasted but thanks, viewsat extreme is a great receiver but VS those other it does not offer anything they do not.

all 3 of the receivers viewsat utral extremeview and sonicview all have faster CPU all have 2 times the ram as viewsat extreme all composite and better video tuner.

OH i am sorry i must admit i did not read the full msg, i did not see you put for arabic channels,

pansat is by far the best for real fta. hands down they have been in business for over 20 years for users wanting the arabic channels. no question about it pansat is better then viewsat sonicview cool$at and the others. buy pansat 3500 or 2800 the 7000hd will be due out shortly but high price. and for you no real reason.

kate is a wacko..don't listen to it!..FTA receiver is FTA receiver, as far as receiving signals and channels...its the dish and LNB's that determine which signals nad channels U get..

Anybody own a CaptiveWorks receiver?...Am considering to get one for the extended EPG...What is picture quality like?
I have an Ariza700(good picture quality), and Fortec Lifetime Ultra(poor picture quality after the last firmware update).

extended epg have as lk already mentioned extremview magnum, and sonicview sv 1000, the problem is to choose between those, considering *support *picture quality *price *user *operation , among some aspects, i am too trying to decide what to buy to replace a pansat 2500, im leaning tours the magnum

Hahah LK once again is wrong wrong wrong, try using a cool$at 4000 on any bin 130above with 4 birds or more go to 119 then go to any other satellite, your box would lock up, now do this on a viewsat platinum 2000 and your box would reboot not instantly showing picture but reboot then picture will come in. 4 birds switching from 119 to any fta.

globe cast was opened and took 12 full days before cool$at has it 9 for viewsat, Pansat users had it 1st because pansat goes after and does t-fta best.

LK once again you are wrong and the facts clearly show that.

for fta stick with pansat for dish get sonicview or extremeview.
