Something strange is happening, I am running the 283T bin on my FLU, yesterday after keys changed, it didn't rolled all the keys, I had to turn off autoroll and put in keys "9E". Now today the keys changed and the box rolled fine. Did anyone else noticed same??????
From what I understand, even if autoroll is turned off, it's actually still on. Turning the setting off only prevents the bin from trying to look for key changes while your receiver is up and running. The idea behind it is to minimize downtime during a key change. It kinda stores the keys as they change until the unit needs them to keep the receiver functioning.
When a bad or fictitious key is in the stream, it keeps rolling and rolling until you turn off autoroll manually. It will still roll even after you put in the correct key or two if autoroll is not turned off. If you don't turn it off, the keys will change from the working keys to keys that don't work.
This is how I understand it works. Nothing etched in stone here. I know for sure my receiver has never failed to try to roll after the keys are changed regardless if autoroll was turned on or not....
So, basically, turning off autoroll only prevents the receiver from searching for upcoming key changes. It does not disable the receiver's ability to roll entirely. That's why our receivers rolled ok today.
