Lost Audio Connection -- Help!

I purchased the Matsui DVD 228 player a couple of months ago and everything was working fine. I changed the setting to make it multi-region format and all of our DVD's worked great. Shortly after we had skype hooked up, I lost audio to the DVD player. I have checked every audio screen on the TV and DVD player with no luck in fixing the problem. I changed scarts only to determine that it is not the problem either as well as unhooking skype. Nothing seems to work. It's only 25 pounds, but I hate to discard a new electronics device.

I have also not had any luck locating a phone number for customer service with Matsui ... any thoughts???

Whoops, I just downloaded skype and have that on my mind. The cable service we subscribe to in the UK is SKY, not skype.
