Saturday, October 21, 2006 - 16:53 GMT If you are refering to the computer cables (serial port cables) then go to your local computer store. They will likely have both flavours. The difference between the two types of cables is that the null modem cable has the send and recieve signals crossed so what is 'sent' from one device is 'recieved' at the device on the other end. The straight through cable requires that the device that it is connected to reverses these pins (signals) internally. I have no idea if/what boxes would use a straight through cable, but you can buy a null modem cable and there used to be an adapter available - allthough you may as well just buy two cables - they are not that expensive.
