OK. My last set was replaced under warranty. Didn't allow HDMI and component video to be connected at the same time after working for months. New set is a little newer and great! But!
Analog out suddenly stopped working. Checked and troubleshot it all. Wires to amp OK, internal mute is ON.
Any knows issues with this? Internal audio works but it isn't the same.
I've never heard of that issue. Why even use analog out? The only reason to use audio from the set is for the ATSC internal tuner use. My choice is the optical audio out for Dolby broadcasts, which defaults to stereo when Dolby isn't detected.
Yes. Uhh... Don't have anything but an analog amp. The set switches to what ever source you're watching so it is fine for me. Anyway, if something is failing, I want it working. Could indicate other failures in the future.
I don't know why anyone would want a big screen display and not want to be immersed in Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Pop the corn...rock the house...that's real home theater!
Since 7.1 came out those 5.1 receivers have dropped drastically in price, like under $200 for 100W per channel with .09 THD. I love my Onkyo!
