DVD Help... My DVD Player won't come on

When I push the power button it will not come on. It flashes from red to green like its trying to come on, but never does. I took the top off of it, now what? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Pointless taking the lid off, theres nothing you can do to fix it - needs a repair via a dealer whom knows what to look for.
