I need to figure out how I get my mini-DVD, from which I have recorded home video onto using my sony handy cam, onto my computer and in the right format for editing. I can watch the dvds but when i try to pull into an editor it can't convert to the right format. The camcorder I have doesnj't use the cable to transfer the images, it goes right onto the mini-DVDs. If someone can recomend an editing program and how to convert or tell me what I am doing wrong I would be so greatful! We have XP, and the Media Center on our computer.
