it makes you wonder why. Its not like they're getting any profit from joe blow satelite dealer for selling me a card. The coding must be easier thus they'll take that way #uck the fools like me who bought their box with the thought of going cardless.
They made a business decision to not "invest" in the maprom code. I think that's wise because who knows how long rom102 technology will last. If everyone has a Viewsat getting free tv, they definitely do have plans to do something about it (e.g. do a card swap to something that doesn't use rom102 maps).
I don't want to pessimistic, but I don't think this will last too long. Give it maybe a year.

Depends on whether or not dish and bev keep on hitting the viewsat with ecm's. If they don't then cool sat will have to discount their FTA boxes but they might a last year before viewsat puts them under but in a year or so a card swap should happen. Forgone conclusion cool sat will never have a cardless fix.
ok jason you think viewsats are going to work for a year. that makes them worth purchasing. at least if they do a card swap viewsat has a chance of working.your coolshat will not unless new card compromised. your rom 102 will not work either. ouchi the more ecm's they hit us with the more of the map they expose. homer they just came out with a custom new card slot for homers like yourself. this is a picture of the beta version card slot below

It's been said many times before and i'll say it again..Cooolsat will have a solution as soon as they gather up enough money to pay for one. No one is cracking or mapping anything..don't be fooled. VS just came up with enough dough first..plain and simple.
