This is a friend's and I'm not as familiar with the settings as I am the 3500 that I have. After entering the codes and reviewing the channels that I have, several are "waiting for picture" or have no sound. I'll have to restore to factory setting and install the Echo7, Echo 8 and nimiq again, then do a blind scan, I figure...however... I'm not sure of the #'s to put in (frequency #'s ???) If anyone is able to answer this for me... i'd appreciate it, THANKS |

Silver Member Username: AbjPost Number: 298 Registered: Feb-06 | HOW TO CHANGE DISH KEYS ON VIEWSAT 1. With unit on hit them MENU button on remote.. 2. Scroll down to Installation hit OK button on remote.. 3. Enter in your Pin Code. Default is "0000" 4. Scroll down to Code hit OK button on remote. 5. Scroll down to Nagra and hit OK button on remote. 6. You will now be in the Nagra key Area. Hit the Left Arrow button on remote till you see Dish displayed like so. These are the Keys needed to be changed. There are 2 Sets. They are 08 & 09. And 88 & 89. 7. Now depending on what key sets are to be changed. Usually displayed to you as follows: Key 08 - 06 07 F0 E2 61 6F E1 45 Key 09 - 01 C5 FB 21 37 B6 C0 5E (means keys 08 &09 need to be changed to the following) 8. Using your remote Arrow Buttons to navigate to the specified key to be changed enter in the new keys. Use the following to enter numbers and letters: Numbers are 0-9. Letter A is Button F1 Letter B is Button F2 Letter C is Button F3 Letter D is Button F4 Letter E is Button LAST CHANNEL Letter F is Button TEXT 9. Once you have entered both lines need verify your entry and Hit the Exit Button. 10. You will then be prompted to save your information. Highlight Yes and hit OK button on your remote. 11. Now just Keep hitting the Exit button on remote till you get out of all menus and if you have entered in the keys correctly you should now have picture back. |
