I was recently upgraded to a motorola 3412I DVR box since the previous moto boxes malfunctioned due to various reasons. Since receiving the new box, I find that the plug at the back is no longer able to be run in a switched mode. It is only unswitched, which I find a downgrade and a major inconvenience. Is this true?
Secondly, the previous box was programmed for a better refresh rate, but the new cable guy at comcast does not know how to change the refresh rate from the moto menu accessible when powering up the box. Does anyone have instructions on how to change the refresh rate from this menu and what other things one can do from this menu?
What do you really mean when you say "refresh rate"? This term is reserved for PC's not Tv monitor video. Do you mean 720p or 1080i resolutions? If not there is no such thing as an adjustable refresh rate on a cable STB.
