So I recently bought a samsung dv860 dvd player in order to get a little better resolution from my sony wega 32" TV. Excited like a little kid and with the friends coming over to watch a new video I just got my hot little hands on...the dvd player won't work.
When I try to play via HDMI all I get is a flickering blue screen. I tried to change from progressive to interlaced..and the screen turned black. I tried changing the dvd output resolution..nothing only flickering blue.
Called samsung this morning "maybe it's the cable" Sony said "That TV is hdcp compatible, perhaps one of the hdmi ports is broken"
Is it possible I got a "bad" HDMI cable? Or that the HDMI output on my DVD player is bunk?
