Sony DVD incompatibility

Just bought a Sony DVD/VCR player which works fine connected to a 7 year old Phillips TV, but only yields snow on a 4 year old RCA TV. Both TVs have only co-ax input, no RCA input jacks. How on earth can I get it to work on the RCA TV?
