Captive Works coders have a nice temporary work around for the latest ECM. This is for the "Premium" CW only. Below is a C&P of how it works. This is a BETA, and is pretty much for testers only. The server they have setup for key sharing (aka card sharing) should handle the load pretty well. there's not many of those on the market yet. The only drawback I see to this temp solution is security. Remember, IP's are traceable. This is good news and shows progress and determination by manufacturers. Next we'll see a cardless solution. The race is on for that one. "May the best man win"
This is a card sharing temp fix to get Dish only back up and running. We are working on a final fix as is all the others. We have not had time to just swing by and chat but we are working on it so bare with us.
1.fix the pix problem in nagra2 channel... 2.add cardshare function... -do F1 555 enable ecm cardshare.. -how to run cardshare watch current dish channel: -you need the extra tool to run the cardshare -connect the receiver to computer with a NULL cable and make sure computer is -connected to the internet. -open the tool csc.exe -goto setting-->option->setup correct com port -goto setting-->start... -load the new 1.19 firmware on your Premium box -then go on receiver do F1 555(make sure patch is enabled F1 000) -if you have correct setup you will see the ecm come on the tool and cw -Now only dishnet is setup, bev and new other providers will be setup soon... have fun...
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR PREMIUM BOX ONLY AND ITS A BETA VERSION TO SEE HOW SERVER WILL HANDLE THE USERS. FOR REGULAR CW-600 A NEW SERVER NEEDS TO BE SETUP. THIS WILL BE A STABLE BACKUP SOLUTION WHEN THE CHANNELS ARE DOWN. CODERS STILL WORKING ON THE REAL FIX AND ITS LOOKING GOOD.
Beware though your IP address are traceable. You need to be hooked to internet the whole time you want to watch nasa, If your IP is untraceable you are good to go, I myself will wait for fix. have fun testing
