before downloading, just click on "view full info" and you will see comments from others if it works or not. Also check the rateing of the file on the right side of the screen !!!!
You have to be careful with files from dsstester. First of all alot of people don't know how setup their receivers after the files are loaded. I'm using a fortec star lifetime ultra and some of the files posted for it are pansat, which is ok. It works fine on the fortec, but there is a trick you have to do with the parental control before it will work. I've also seen alot of people load the zip file intead of unzipping and loading the bin. So you will see alot of post from people saying that is doesn't work when it does and also the other way around. The problem is you don't have to register or anything to post comments there. So the same person can post many comments under different names saying that file works when it is a bad file that was put there in the first place to fry your receiver. My point is there are much better sources for bins. This forum seems to have less disinfo than others. There is also future-fta.info which will post the official release when it is ready and lyngsat lists all the free channels that are unencrypted.
go to dsstester, once you are in the site, you should see file download on the left side of screen, scroll down to the receiver brand you have, click on that and you should see all the recent file for that receiver
