This may seem like a stupid question, but what exactly does AUTOROLL mean?? And why is it that sometimes when there is a fix it should be ON, and other times it should be OFF??
Some of the people on this forum are on serious ego trips. Im sure you have the answer to that question, and it could have been answered in the same number of words that it took you to reply with that smart as* remark. Some people are new to this and wish to learn about this system, instead of blindly following advice offered when a problem occurs with their system. I am in the same boat, and am learning as I go.
Yet you reply indicating that the person who asked the question to read more. What was the point of even replying if you were unwilling to answer the question. If you dont want to spoonfeed, then DONT REPLY AT ALL!!
And to answer his question: Tyler Durden
The auto roll gets the new keys and stores them in your receiver. You'll notice sometimes that the 'waiting for picture 10%' comes up and the % starts climbing. That is the auto roll working, trying to get the keys. This sometimes happens a few times before the picture comes in. At times, a bin will stop working due to changes that DN and BEV create to throw off the bins. This will render the bin useless and a new one will have to be created and then uploaded to your receiver. Maybe useless is a poor choice of words, because you can turn it off as you say and enter the keys manually.
