Old hardware.... 1 Dish 500 with DishPro LNB with two outputs. Dish is pointed at 110/119. I had one cable to diseq lnb1 and the other to diseq lnb2 (redundant?)
1 plain dish pointed at 82w for HD. Cable was hooked up to Diseq LNB 3.
Everything worked great on my PCI card. 110/119 worked great on my pansat before I got the PCI card and second dish at 82w.
Now I want to hook up a second receiver...my old Pansat 2500.
I went to a dealer and bought a second DP500 dish to replace my generic so I can get 82/91 at the same time....similar to 110/119.
The dealer sold me a DP34 box for Dish pro that allows 4 receiver to be hooked up to it. He said that I only need 1 cable from the 110/119 dish and one cable from the 82/91 dish, since there is a switch inside the LNBs...and the third input on the DP34 could be left alone.
Here is what is happening. Currently I am just trying to get 110/119 hooked up to 1 receiver, my PCI card. I decided to re-scan my channels, however now I am getting duplicates of most of them and not all of them are showing up right now.
Can someone help me with this 110/119??? I'll get back into B3V later.
U must have DP TWIN LNB's... the dealer is exactly correct!...duplicates and not getting all channels is a scanning issue, not a hardware issue..delete your channels first (or factory reset), then do a new scan (no duplicates)...missing channels could have moved to new transponders...u would need to go to lyngsat.c*om, check which TP it moved to, and then do a TP scan of the new TP..
Thanks LK. Appreciate your support on this crazy forum.
I still don't understand fully. Last night I re-hooked up my 110/119 antenna, using both outputs. 1 output to diseq 1 and the other to diseq 2, just as I had before. I used a transponder list for Dishpro for my PCI card. I scanned each LNB seperately and got all the channels, but still with some duplicates. (The TP files have a lot of duplicate TP values in them, but they are all verticle).
So then I set my diseq settings for both LNBs to "NONE" and some channels became black. When I go back to 1 & 2 it works fine again. I am using both cables from the LNB.
I don't get it? If I should only use one cable because there is a switch in the LNB, why is it picking up more channels when I seperate the lines with a diseq switch and scan individually? My LNB says DP on it, and is one big box together. It has only two outputs, 1 on each side.
By the way...I do delete all my channels and rescan. But with my PCI card and RitzDVB, I have to use a transponder list before I can. I cannot just do a blind scan. Now that I do have all the channels working the old way...it just isn't right yet, and I haven't even tried seeing if things work with the DP34 switch yet. And haven't tried 82/91 yet until I figure this out. This Dish pro thing is really confusing me. Please help.
I couldn't explain it any simpler...one output cable has BOTH satellites!...very simple..do NOT plug in 2 cables ...if U want 1 receiver , run cable directly to the reciver (no switches) but U still must tell receiver 110 = port 1 , 119 = port 2..if u want 2 receivers, then run 2nd cable DIRECTLY to 2nd receiver from 2nd output on the TWIN LNB ...(no switches)between LNB and receivers..the disque switches are INTERNAL in the TWIN LNB!!...is combines both satellite signals into 1 output cable..2nd output is for 2nd receiver ONLY!
