Here's my problem---a friend has surround sound hooked to his television--it works just fine. IN addition he has Satellite TV. When he turns on his Sony combo DVD/VHS player, the VHS portion of the machine works fine---picture appears on TV and surround sound is just great. The problem occurs when the DVD portion of the player is utilized--the picture on the TV rolls and has no color. The surround sound plays just fine. According to the owner, some button must be hit on the surround sound to get the DVD to play---for the life of me I could not figure out which button it was. Thought it was strange that the VHS worked but not the DVD. Can anyone suggest a solution? Thanks
