If your Philips cheapo 27" flat screen refuses to turn on....check out the June 4th 2006 post from K Machado of Stratford Ontario. (username Porkchop) Works like a charm. Mine quit several weeks ago, and calling around the repair shops in Toronto was a waste of time. Cheapest quote for a home visit (and unless you lift weights, you will need a home visit) was $45, and when I explained the problem to the technicians, the cheapest estimate for repairs was over $75. Like most I was intimidated by the thought of taking the set apart and fooling around with something that could kill me. Turned out to be very simple, and as long as you dont touch anything other than the $2:00 fuse you are replacing, no problem at all. Total fix time: 20 minutes.
Tried the fuse and TV still won't work. It did stop clicking. But now has no sound, no picture. But the power light is on. Help! Philips Model # 27PT6441/37
