New member Username: AlehandroPost Number: 6 Registered: Jun-06 | Eva thanks for the info, but i bought my megasat few months ago, like 4 o 3 months ago, i havent experienced the "july first bomb" my megasat turns on fine, the issue is that i have no ppv, hbo, adlt, etc. all them show me the "wait for picture" screen. So what im wondering is if my model is not a clone of panasat or someother, so in that way i could use a bin of other receiver to get ppv, did i explain it well ? and thanks again for your attention |

Any help would be great! thanks |
Silver Member Username: The_wank_artistPost Number: 893 Registered: Feb-06 | Unzip the bin, save to computer. open loader program (either GTRom or BL loader) disconnect receiver from dish and turn off from back or receiver. Connect receiver to computers com port 1. Turn receiver back on from the back on/off switch. Run loader program. Select receiver model in loader Select unzipped bin file. Click download. Call your parents and tell them that you love them. Wait for download to finish. Disconnect receiver. Connect cable from dish to receiver. Turn back power on. Turn on receiver via remote. Tune receiver to 'Knitting Channel' unless you're Eva, then turn to the dirty channels. Enjoy. |

Bronze Member Username: BanzaiPost Number: 29 Registered: May-06 | Travis Phung Yeah, it'll fry your receiver for good, you may ask the PAN from Tyler (which fried my Pansat 2700a) ...kidding... If you don't know what your Pansat is (original or Clone), then I suggest use the safe BIN 272v1 from 1) Turn on your receiver -> menu -> Parent option at last row (second PIN) enter 0000 -> Turn ON everything in Autoroll Options -> exit to the root. 2) Follow Tyler instruction 3) Turn on your receiver -> menu -> Parent option at last row (second PIN) enter 0000 -> go to set default key & press OK to save the setting 4) prepare the popcorn if you watch the Vue## channel, otherwise call your lover if you watch the Venus channel lol |

Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 3362 Registered: Jan-06 | Both bins fixed the PPV's and adult channels...U need to do some scans or readjust your dish for strong signals!...and use ANY pansat or blacklist loader U want...it doesn't matter...I use the BL updater 1.4...some receivers prefer certain loaders, some receivers don't care.. x87BL 060906 272 bin is what U want for a GENUINE Pansat 2700...if Not sure, if its a clone receiver, then use the 272v1 bin with any loader U want!...BOTH get ALL the Bev PPV's and adult channels.. |

This loader looks really simple to use, could you breifly explain hwo i transfer the bin onto my satellite? thanks LK or anyone else that knows how to use bl updater 1.4 |
Bronze Member Username: Zeus1111Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada Post Number: 18 Registered: Jun-06 | also, Mikey mentioned early in this thread i must do a factory reset before i load the new bin.. what is a factory reset in a nutshell and how do i do it? thanks! |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 3407 Registered: Jan-06 | with BL 1.4, U don't need model name...and factory reset is not a necessity..U sound like a newbie who has never done this before, so TEST away! Here is how to recover from the "Night Rider" (flashing lights): 1. Try re-flashing the factory boot/flash again using the below directions. That gives you FTA ONLY. Follow the above procedure. 2. Then, when that works use the latest flash to get the scrambled channels. 3. Download a channel list and/or do a channel scan on each sat. 4. When flashing, be sure to wait not only until is says done. But you need to wait until it reboots and actually goes to a channel number. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are a few tips if you are having difficulty flashing: loading a bin.. I would advise everyone to read a set up guide before flashing. But, since people have been having some problems, I have revised this to provide more detailed information. But this is not intended to be a substitute. 1. Make sure you use the proper serial cable for your receiver: Most Fortec and Pansat use a straight through cable with DB9 females on both ends. The Blackbird, Pansat 2700/3500 and some other receivers use null (crossover) cable, which crosses over pins 2 and 3. 2, With the power turned off, connect it to your computer and receiver using the serial connector. Use serial port #1 if you can. 3. If you do not have a working SERIAL port, you must install one or use a computer that has one. Usb ports do NOT usually work, except on rare ocassions with an adapter. 4. Use the appropriate loader. 5. Select the file. Make sure that it is the correct flash for your receiver. 6. Select the COM port your receiver is connected to. If you do not know, what it is try #1 first. 7. Enter the correct model name and number. Most Blackist updaters do Not require this. 8. Check off the correct function box. Your choices are boot, flash or channel list. To FLASH your receiver you would use FLASH. Most flashes do not require a separate boot; so do not load both separately. 9. Turn on the receiver power from the BACK switch. 10. As soon as you see the lights flash, very first light -- IMMEDIATELY press download. Timing is critical and many vary. 11. Wait until it COMPLETES and reboots Next U need to do a satellite scan of whatever LNB's on dish are aimed at....then set default key..then EMU-ON...and U also have to configure the receiver settings to your LNB's type and disque ports..but had U read the manuals U would already know all this.. |
New member Username: ShlPost Number: 10 Registered: Jun-06 | I'm watching Bev from cs5k and pansa@t2500a, and i get most of the channels, but not p0rn. could some one tell me how to get those please. thanks |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 3413 Registered: Jan-06 | need another scan!...unless U have some parental controls ON.. |
Bronze Member Username: ShlPost Number: 12 Registered: Jun-06 | yeah i did scan, but no luck. can we use the same bin for dn and bev (277 pans@at 2550a and 123 cs5k) |
Gold Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 3415 Registered: Jan-06 | yes DN and Bev are together on all bins now for past 10 months! there is nothing else u can do...scans is how U locate missing channels, or channels which have moved to new transponder or new satellite.. For U to be missing ALL the Po*rn channels on Bev (many) with 2 different receivers is impossible, unless U need to realign the dish and improve the signal!...thats the ONLY thing they (both receivers) have in common! |
Bronze Member Username: BanzaiPost Number: 31 Registered: May-06 | Hey Stevie Wonder ... oufff... Steve NG. What's your signal level on those 2 SAT (Echo & Nimiq). My is above 70% and I got all channels. Perhaps you try the Blind Scan on those SAT to get all TP. Good Luck |
Bronze Member Username: Zeus1111Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada Post Number: 19 Registered: Jun-06 | Hey LK , im confused as to the instuctions you provided about recovierng from flashing lights. My lights on my receiver are fine, im just trying to fix my cahnnels so i get ppv and xxx and can i just fix that just by connecting my receiver to my computer with an RS 232 cable and then load the 272v1 bin to my reciever with the bl updater 1.4 loader? im not sure what com to use, so ill try what you said and start with #1.. would this fix my receiver? |
Bronze Member Username: Zeus1111Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada Post Number: 20 Registered: Jun-06 | also, "clicking download" is equivalent to "write bin" on BL updater 1.4 correct? |

I am new to this and here is what I want to do with my SAT-B55 receiver (i know it is old but it is reliable) I am willing to change it to something faster if need to. I am spending so much money on direct programming, not to mention the PPV and other channels. Can someone point me in the right direction..email me if you prefer Thanks so much. |
Bronze Member Username: BanzaiPost Number: 38 Registered: May-06 | Travis Phung Don't worry even you fried your dad receiver, he cannot lay a single slap or yell a magic word because you're untouchable (minor - under federal protection), is it cool? For the connection: ------------------- * PC is always on (unless you open your PC case to upgrade something or nothing to do with the PC), * FTA receiver on stand by mode which means the button behind the receiver is ON but nothing appear on the TV when it connected (only time appear on the LCD screen of your receiver). * Connect the cable from your PC COM port available (most of the case is COM1) to RS-232 port of receiver * Launch the BL 1.4 or GTROM V3.38 loader (application) * Verify your COM port setup (make sure that COM port is fully functional, if U doesn't know how then ask your father . U fix his receiver then he must lay a hand on your PC unless the PC belongs to him ) * Select the BIN file to load (be careful, you have to pick the right BIN for your receiver, otherwise it'll fry the receiver in the next day) * Press download (I confuse with this one why it calls download when a file upload from PC to receiver, if we run the loader from receiver then it may call download () * Wait until it finish then turn OFF the button bind FTA receiver and unpluge the cable * Turn ON the button behind FTA receiver make sure something appear on your TV while both connected, if not then turn ON the receiver from the remote control. * go to Menu -> Parental Control -> press on user default setting to save the setting that you did above * Verify if there is any channel. IF not, menu -> Parental Control -> channel edit -> delete all Channels. Then menu -> installation -> blind scan all SAT which setup on your receiver * Enjoy the show.... P.S.: I'm always blind scan whenever I load a new BIN, so I don't miss any new channel just release. to ijaz syed: which SAT that your dish point to? do a blind scan |
