Any idea what I did wrong?

I'm new and somehow I screwed something up this afternoon. Had all channels on 119 & 110 coming in after doing a blind scan. Then I tried to change to a different channel while manually pressing the #'s on my remote and all of a sudden the picture froze and I got the message "bad or scrambled channel" and I couldn't do anything. I turned off the power, deleted all channels and did another blind scan but seemed to lose all my channels after this scan. Do I need to go back in and turn off the auto roll thing or will it stay off from the first time I did it? thanks in advance.

Thanks Eva. I will. Is it possible to screw them up? My buddy and I had just entered them and had it all working prior to doing the blind scan. Can the keys change themselves somehow or was it most likely something I did?

Yes the keys can change by themselves. Do you nees stop autoroll for stop changing keys. I mean do you need stop autoroll, enter manually keys, and if you still did not see channels try autoroll on again.

C/P from other site

How to manually enter keys to Fortec LT Classic NA
On May 24, D*sh apparently is sending "fake keys" to FTA recievers.

(my .bin is FEB. 6)

Here is the workaround:

Press "MENU" on remote

Scroll right once to "Channels"

Scroll down to "CODE"

Press "OK"

Enter the password "1001"

Scroll right to "NAGRA"

Scroll down to the first "Dish Net" entry press "OK"

Enter keys from instructions below

----------------------

NOTE:
HOW TO ENTER KEYS

Left and right arrows change data, "OK" enters it

_______________

You get the keys from a program called Keyripper 2.0 (Google it)

they will look like this: (below are examples, keys can not be posted)

Key 86: xx 70 xx 0A xx 0A xx C5 xx 59 xx 5F xx DA xx 5C
Key 96: xx 9C xx 71 xx C1 xx AE xx FF xx 5E xx 4C xx FC

Enter the first 2 pair set of 86 into slot 00

press red button to save

Enter the second 2 pair set of 86 into slot 01

press red button to save

Enter the first 2 pair set of 96 into slot 02

press red button to save

Enter the second 2 pair of 96 into slot 03

press red button to save

When done hit "EXIT" - you will see a dialog saying "saving data" (or something)

You should be watching TV

My screen was blank on 5/24 @ 2:36 or so.... You MUST enter the keys manually, autoroll is not going to work right now.

bold]
EDIT:

I was unclear about the keys,
enter the first 8 HEX digits of line 86 to 00
The next 8 HEX digits of line 86 to 01

The first 8 HEX of line 96 to 02
The next 8 HEX of 96 to 03

[/bold]
