New member Username: BsastryPost Number: 1 Registered: May-06 | I am a newbie to DLP and would like to know if HL-R4266W is worth buying based on all issues reported here? Please Help. I have a 41.25 inch cabinet for the TV and HL-R4266W will fit just enough and the price is reasonable now. Thanks for your input. |

New member Username: BsastryPost Number: 2 Registered: May-06 | Thanks FYI. I am from Plano area. Do you recommend an online/brick&mortar retailer? Also, how can I ensure that the extended warranty covers typical damages that can occur to the set? I am planning on buying a MOnster power protection unit as well. Thanks. |

Most extended warranties are an extention of the factory warranty and everything is covered, but the lamp. The first year Samsung Factory Warranty does cover the lamp. http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=8536609/zip_code=75075/ |

New member Username: BsastryPost Number: 6 Registered: May-06 | Thanks for the info Helpful Smurf. Checked out OneCall.com and got the HLS4266W for 1399 + 126 shipping + 180 3yr in home warranty which covers the lamp. Total 1705... |

New member Username: BsastryPost Number: 7 Registered: May-06 | Thanks FYI... Should be getting my TV within a week or so. Have a question on this model, looks like PIP is not available anymore. Is this a downside? Regards, Balaji |
Silver Member Username: FyiDallas, Texas Post Number: 698 Registered: May-05 | I don't use my PIP, so, to me it doesn't matter. |
New member Username: BsastryPost Number: 8 Registered: May-06 | FYI, What exactly is a Single Tuner PIP, since I see this mentioned in the Product Details for HL-S4266W model. I think may be wrong in my previous post saying that PIP was not available. Thanks, Balaji |
Silver Member Username: FyiDallas, Texas Post Number: 700 Registered: May-05 | I pulled the pdf on it and I don't see PIP as a feature. http://www.samsung.com/Products/TV/DLPTV/files/hls4266_final.pdf |
