Bronze Member Username: OnlookerdelayRock Hill, SC USA Post Number: 18 Registered: Feb-06 | I saw the 56" model on display at Best Buy last week... outstanding picture quality and a cabinet design that is the epitome of elegance without being a distraction. If I had been able to exercise a little patience, I'd have one on order with you now. I had been convinced the 787 series wasn't coming out until July/August, and I jumped on the Vizio P42-HDTV at Costco during the March Madness sale. It's an okay set, but after seeing the 787 at Best Buy, I'm kicking myself for not waiting :-( BTW, the optical iris seems to be a worthwhile addition. I saw a 100% improvement in black levels on this set in the darker scenes of the program being shown. I set it in all three modes just to see the difference... amazing! I hope they've licked the bulb life issues with this series, as rumored! |
