Best receiver

Hello all.
I am finally going to take the plunge into the FTA world.
From reading, I have narrowed down my choice of receiver to two. The Viewsat extreme or the Pansat 3500sd. The viewsat seems to be a better machine by looking at the specs to me.!?
The price is within $30 so $ isn't an issue. The Pansat does not come with a sd card but it comes pre-downloaded with DN and will have a year of support for free. The Viewsat has nothing downloaded and no support.

1) Which is the best receiver?
2) which is the best receiver for me?
3) Which one goes down more? Is there a big difference in how often?
4) What would the average timespan be between having to test to get channels back? days , weeks or months?
Thanks

The predownloaded doesn't mean anything , cause it (Dishnet) can change tomorrow and U can't program it!...and the 1 yr support is ONLY is good as the company....most that sell 1 yr support are a rip off!...who's the company..

More important is that U do NOT buy a CLONE..imitation..I would buy a Pansat 3500 with card from either www.efta.us ..but many will argue with me...they are both good..but buy either receiver from where I just stated..

The SD card is great to have..and pansat has much FREE support everywhere and is easier for a newbie..the viewsat is good too but your choice..chevy or ford

Thanks LK.
The seller is a supplier here in Canada, seems to do alot of business and claims to sell original units (looks legit).(his site actually has a beware of clones banner).
What size of sd cards can I use in the 3500?
I have heard the Pansats go down more. Is this true and if so why?
Is it also true the Pansat usually has a better picture (with component cables) than the Viewsats?

What about the Cool*Sat 5000. How does it compare to the Pansat 3500sd and Viewsat extreme? Does the Cool*Sat 5000 display a nice picture using component video cables?

I compared the latest viewsat, cool sat and Pansat models. After much research I decided to pay a little more and go with the Pansat 3500 series.
The only thing I find it really lacks compared to the cool sat and viewsat latest generation of recievers is the speed of scanning the satellites. That was not overly important to me, but ease of setup and operation and the availability of support definitely is. The sd card slot will also be a nice feature.
