Hitachi HDTV - 6600 Pink Speckles WTF!!!

Just got a brand new Hitachi 32inch LCD HDTV and suddenly i get pink speckles allovers the screen ... is this static or do i have a bigger problem. I have been using it mainly for PC and DVD use. Any help appreciated thanks !!!
