this is interesting, you are the only poster!

I wonder why?

Maybe because it is owners that have problems that come out to the web to look for answers while satisfied owners don't?

possibly! But you forgot another plausible possibility. Maybe there are not too many buyers out there with lamps going without issue for 2 years.

We will never know.

PT50LC14. Will be a year on 04/07/06. Still the original lamp. Average use @ 3 hours day-every day.

I've had to bump the brightness up two clicks over the past month.

Well! Guess I should mention I have had my Panny since September 2004. I bought the PT-50LC14 from Sears. I have it plugged into a Monster Power Home Theater Powerbar 2100. I think this is what is saving my lamp. It is a good investment for anyone who is spending over $1900.00 to purchase a TV.

Why would anyone spend thousands of dollars on a TV and not plug it into a power conditioner of some kind? That's like buying an Armani suit and washing it in a puddle, not knowing how clean the water is. You may get a muddy suit, you may not, but why take the chance?

I doubt that this would correct ALL the lamp issues out there, but "clean" power could never HURT.
