New VS OLDer FTA Receiver! Pls Respond!

New member Username: ThxPost Number: 1 Registered: Feb-06 | I am new to DSS and trying to buy the newest FTA receiver out there, But I see everyone is talking about the 2500A, isn't that an old unit? Why everyone is talking about 2500A! Is there a compatibility problem with the newer pansats like the 3500SD FTA! I found some receivers on the eBay but I don't know which one to buy! What is the difference on the following units? 3500SD FTA , C0OLSAT 5000, VIEWSAT VS2000, If I order one of these receivers would the dish come with it or I need to order that separately and if so do I get it from the same guys I am buying the receiver from? |

Post Number: 405 Registered: Oct-05 | Hey Tom; There are many variables to consider when buying the dish and particularly the lnb`s, such as UR location, which birds and how many of them U want to test. I would choose an stb(receiver) such as vwst. plat or extreme, or c@@lsat, they have much support which is critical in this ever changing hobby. After U select UR stb and are waiting for it to be shipped, go to one or more of these sites and begin reading the info pertinent to UR stb. There is specific step-by-step info 4 UR stb there. (channel)-from dsscentral vs2000-chanlist.CHA 240 kb list (loader)-name-loader2.exe type application,480 kb (file)-viewsat v.1055 for xtreme and platinum.1141077673-vs2000- v1055.zip from dsstester. i think i got it right can someone let me know if this is fine.and thanks to you all for the help. |
