This is a step below a display capable of a true HD picture as defined by EICTA. See http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds18570.html Wherein they state · The minimum native resolution of the display (e.g. LCD, PDP) or display engine (e.g. DLP) is 720 physical lines in wide aspect ratio. Since you have only 480 phisical lines (or your native resolution is only 852 X 480) your TV cannot display all the information in a hi-def signal. No special adaptor, set top box, or connector is going to change that. Oh the picture will be mighty fine indeed, but HD it will not be. The DVI connection is capable of carrying an HD signal, and is a very good way to transfer a digital video signal from point to point. But, sorry to say, you just don't have enough pixels to play a true HD signal. |
