Can u help get my proline dvd 1200 to free region

please can someone tell me how to change my proline dvd1200 so i can watch dvds in region 1 and oter regions. Its really annoying that i can't because my dad has given me american dvds for christmas. please tell me =D e-mail me on lozza_222@hotmail.co.uk xxxxxx
