Anonymous | hi there, i live in calgary.. due to condo rules, i can't put any dish on my deck. wondering whether a 40cm dish can pickup 119 sat from my deck?? it can be hid to my bbq base (i've done this with 18" dish before ...but the condo guys told me to take it out as it is kinda large protruding the bbq cover) any help would be appreciated...any numbers for this kinda installation |
Bronze Member Username: LklivesPost Number: 62 Registered: Jan-06 | If condo guys are that much of Na*zi's, they will not allow a 40cm dish either ...not much diff between 16-18 inch..U are going to have to figure out how to mount it etc..cables etc are all the same..make sure U get a circular LNB too for DN and 119 oe 110.. IN US, based upon FCC law, its illegal for condo's, apartments etc to stop U from having a satellite..The rule applies to video antennas including direct-to-home satellite dishes that are less than one meter (39.37") in diameter (or of any size in Alaska), TV antennas, and wireless cable antennas.. http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html |
